![]() The Nike Air Rift originally released in 1995. As the axiom states, “necessity is the mother of invention.” In the case of the Air Rift, Kenyan runners felt a necessity for a shoe that would better emulate the barefoot running to which they were accustomed. Nike took this need and utilized it to mold a split toe design with an ergonomic sole and low profile neoprene sock liner. If you will now fast forward to the present, Nike has re-released the Air Rift as a retro product.? Furthermore, and likely to the satisfaction of OG sneakerheads, these Air Rift retros are offered in two original colorways: purple/yellow and black/white-green. Flip the post to see photos of both colorways. Then hit hanon if an acquisition is now your necessity. |
