The last pairs of the Air Royal Mid we saw used a new leather-wrapping technique along the upper. While the look was appreciated by many readers, others remarked that they preferred the standard look of this Mid cut Nike. If you are in the latter group, you’ll be glad to know that the latest pair maintains its original aesthetic. The “Cool Grey” colorway utilizes leather for the majority of its upper. On the toe panels, a special leather that changes hues slightly depending on how you look at it is used. It’s very reminiscent of the finish on the Air Foamposite One “Eggplant.” The Swoosh is a third shade of grey. Red hits appear on the outsole, heel tab and midsole stitching. |
