Nike has made sneakers for all types of athletes and has now debuted the Nike Air Sesh, a performance sneaker built for dancers. Designed by Tinker Hatfield with LA dance crew Kinjaz giving feedback, the Air Sesh solves a lot of the problems that dancers run into with their sneakers.
Pebbled white leather is used on the upper for durability and features a racing stripe overlay with suede on the toebox. The Swoosh comes in red along with the heel pulltab and the medial Swoosh is reversed with just an outline in black. Going down into the midsole, Cushlon is used for out-of-the-box comfort and a Zoom unit in the heel for extra impact protection without sacrificing responsiveness. The midsole is extremely flexible to adapt to a dancer’s movement with two rubber compounds utilized on the outsole. The medial side features a smoother, slippery rubber for the ability to slide and glide and the lateral side uses a stickier rubber for grip and traction when needed.
Dynamic singer Leo the Kind has unveiled his song “Animation” to ignite this dance-oriented pair to life. The song can be found on the Air Sesh’s page landing, where more info about the shoe can also be found.
The Nike Air Sesh is available now to select Nike members with a wider launch dropping in the near future. The sneaker will retail for $110. Check out the official images below and stay tuned to our Sneaker Release Dates page for the latest.
