On top of a few original colorways there were straight from the ’90s, Andre Agassi’s Nike Air Tech Challenge II has also seen a slew of new style codes this year. The latest may be the most memorable of the modern renditions, as the model gets the American treatment to produce the Nike Air Tech Challenge II “US Open” releasing in conjunction with the upcoming US Open 2014. Shying away from subtle accenting like it always has, this ATC II follows similar color-blocking to the “Wimbledon” colorway, but utilizes patent leather for the featured blue and red colors. A white TecTuff toe box and midsole keep the focus on the glossy getup, which is finished off with gold “USA” tags on the heels. Also, just like the “Wimbledon” colorway, the “US Open” includes the Nike Tennis emblem lace lock. Get another angle below, and catch this special release alongside a matching Fragment jacket on August 21st at select Nike Lab locations.
