While their footwear journey began in running, Nike has become a prolific player in the basketball sneaker world. In the past (and present), Nike had signed and curated sneakers for many of the game’s best hoopers. Digging into their archives, the Reggie Miller and Tim Duncan associated Nike Air Total Max Uptempo is set to return in Black and University Red.
The two-toned sneaker features a dark-toned leather and nubuck upper, while the soles are finished with a scarlet tint. The Swoosh maintains the same scarlet hue, distinctly displaying itself on the otherwise monochromatic upper. With the current hype behind retro hoops sneakers, it’ll be no surprise if the 1997 design receives a popular return.
The Nike Air Total Max Uptempo “Bred” is rumored to release in 2021 for $170 on Nike.com. Until then, check our Sneaker Calendar to stay up to date with all of your favorite Kicks.
