Nike Looks to Japanese Culture for the Air Trainer 1 “Tokyo 2003”

Along with this Air Max 97 that pays homage to South Korea, Nike will also be dropping an Air Trainer 1 inspired by Japanese Culture.

The upcoming Nike Air Trainer 1 “Tokyo 2003” features a sleek black and white colorway with accenting purple hits throughout. Black reptile-like leathers craft the mid-panels, rear heels, and toe overlays, while white leather makes up the ankle, perforated toe box and profile Swooshes. Lastly, purple hits arrive on the eyestays and heel clip. Rounding out the final details are the forefoot strap branded with “Nike” and a special “TYO 03” motif on the lateral heels and hangtags.
