Following right behind the Flight Huarache basketball cut that recently released, now it’s the Trainer’s turn with a retro of the iconic Nike Air Trainer Huarache “Dark Emerald.” One of Nike’s original initiatives to slim down silhouettes in order to give athletes only what they need to perform and nothing more, the Huarache construction combines the functionality of South American sandals with the fit of neoprene water ski boots. The innovative technology that was born in performance running trickled over to the cross-training market, adding a mesh strap for superior lockdown to yield the Nike Air Trainer Huarache. One of the most recognizable original colorways of the model was this “Dark Emerald” makeup that pairs the greenish tone with medium berry to go with a white leather base. 23 years after the Huarache’s birth, this iconic style code will come back around on September 26th.
