When Nike announced its upcoming releases for Air Max Day, which featured models like the Air Max 270, the hybrid Air VaporMax 97 was certainly an eyebrow raising style. Another look at the model is revealed today in what appears to be the model’s debut colorway in “Japan.”
Likened to the “Japan” edition that released in proper Air Max 97 form as an overseas exclusive, the upper’s traditional tooling is smartly balanced atop VaporMax cushioning. This look – like the Air VaporMax Plus – is one of several styles Nike has decided to join with one another, blending era-defining silhouettes and budding technology.
