For the 14th straight year, Nike will be teaming up with OHSU Doernbecher for a collection of shoes that will directly benefit the children’s hospital. The entire Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2017 collection will be revealed soon but thanks to sneakerprophet, we now know that an iteration of the VaporMax will be included in the sneaker pack.
The Nike Air VaporMax Doernbecher Freestyle was designed by Andrew Merydith, who at just fifteen years old is battling cystic fibrosis. Merydith’s VaporMax sports a Flyknit upper in a Seattle Seahawks-inspired vibrant royal blue and neon lime colorway. Other details on the sneaker include Merydith’s initials on the tongue and #ILOVETHEFAM stamped on the Air unit.
Stay tuned for more information on the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2017 collection but until then, peep Merydith’s VaporMax below.
