Portland’s famous Wildwood trail, which stretches 30 miles and is often considered one of the best running trails in the country, also carries cultural significance in sneakers.
It’s the namesake for the Nike Air Wildwood ACG, an obvious trail sneaker produced in 1989.
Meant as a successor to 1982’s Air Escape, the Air Wildwood ACG quickly dominated as a trail sneaker while doubling as an everyday lifestyle wear. Carrying the famed All Conditions Gear moniker, Nike returns the shoe in traditional earth tones for its 30th anniversary.
A duo of Nike Air Wildwood ACG colorways will release on April 20 at select Nike retailers globally.
