The fastest marathoner in the world and the fastest shoe in the running world are coming together.
Since its debut in Vienna in October 2019, the Nike Air Zoom AlphaFly NEXT% has become the focal point within the running world. The running shoe was engineered to perform like no other shoe in the market. A carbon fiber plate, a plethora of ZoomX foam, and a set of Air pods near the forefoot area. In essence, all of these components are tailored to relieve the stress of impact with each step. The end result is the perfect vessel that makes each stride feel like you’re walking on a cloud that springs you to record-shattering numbers.
This upcoming iteration of the runner is a tribute to Eliud Kipchoge and his sub-2-hour marathon that introduced the world to the NEXT% model. The AtomKnit upper is dressed in white with a slightly off-white midsole as red and green arrive at the heel of the shoe is inspired by the Kenyan flag. The 1:59:40 and EK lettering can be found across the sneaker.
Take a closer look at the upcoming colorway below. Expect the pair to release on Nike.com and select retailers soon for $275.
