Nike Basketball recently unveiled their own flagship retail spot in Japan, featuring nothing but Swoosh hoops products and Jordan Brand pieces. The store is now the largest Nike Basketball specialty shop in the country, and was built around everything hardwood. Intricately designed by Japan’s own Specialnormal, the space was made to help everyone who walks through the door experience the world of Nike Basketball. Gymnasium smoke brown herringbone flooring, concrete blocks and wooden plate walls house an “Initiative Zone” with a big screen playing the latest highlights when you first walk in. All of the shop’s lights were placed at the exact height of a 10-foot rim, and a half court in house allows visitors to test the products on the spot.
