2018 may begin next month but Nike already has its sights set on 2019.

Continuing to focus on the ever important retail landscape that is New York City, the Big Apple continues to win with an elevated shopping experience. In a release, the Swoosh cites that in 2019 they will open a new NYC flagship that will be over 69,000 square feet, standing firmly on 650 Fifth Avenue at West 52nd Street.

While size matters, it’s the consumer experience (and value) of the NikePlus program the brand is looking to build up that’s perhaps most intriguing. NikePlus members will have total run and exclusive access to the store’s fifth floor, serving as a members only space with access to unique product (perhaps pre-launch releases), experiences and customization opportunities. They’ll also be able to schedule one-on-one appointments with Nike Experts for personal shopping and sport specific product advice.

In addition, members will also be able to skip the checkout line by instantly purchase product through their app when leaving the score. On tap of that, they will receive push notifications on product they’re likely to prefer when they enter the store.

For non-Nike Plus members, they will have access to floors one through four that showcase product based on sports and innovations, while the lower level will be home to Hyperlive which focuses on city specific product. This of course is all inline with Nike’s plans to do more direct to consumer business.

Until then, preview a digital rendering of the 2019 space below.
