Nike is doing everything they can to make the Cortez a modern shoe. In this instance, they’ve updated the model in nylon and suede with a unique stop sign graphic at the heel.
Outfitted in a predominately sleek nylon upper matched alongside a suede heel counter, much of the shoe is seen in ivory while grey and light green accents balance the earthy aesthetic. But what’s unique is the red stop sign graphic at the heel counter. Inside the shoe, “The Tradition Never Stops” is found printed on the insole, which would somewhat explain the symbolism seen at the red heel.
