The 45th anniversary of the Nike Cortez couldn’t have come at a better time. In a moment where universal style is based largely in minimalism with a strong focus on superior branding, the Cortez is ideal to a wide segment of sneaker culture and fashion elite alike. Now, after returning the shoe in OG form, Nike is updating the almost half century old silhouette with one of their most triumphant technological advancements in years.

The Nike Cortez Flyknit, a lighter more streamlined version of the heritage shoe with cultural roots in Los Angeles, is enhanced to meet modern specifications with revamping that shortens its height and substantially slims its frame. Releasing first in the famed “Forrest Gump” colorway and a traditional Black/White option, give the Cortez Flyknit a better look below and stay tuned for Stateside release details.
