A’ja Wilson’s Nike Cosmic Unity 2 PE Plays Homage To Her Late Grandmother

Although the Nike Cosmic Unity wasn’t a signature sneaker, it was tied to the hip of A’ja Wilson as she’s been rocking the sneaker since its debut and her own PE that went to retail. With the arrival of its successor, the Nike Cosmic Unity 2, it’s only right that A’ja gets another PE that pays homage to her late grandmother.

The sneaker is seen in Siren Red with exaggerated and futuristic cuts and lines throughout while being made from recycled yarn. The black pulltabs on the heel and tongue feature gold stitching of A’ja’s number 22 alongside Nike branding. Hattie Rakes is stitched behind the tongue, A’ja’s grandmother, with the external heel counter seen in white with the Swoosh in a grey that looks to be comprised of Nike’s grind rubber. A full-length Zoom strobel setup is used for cushioning with a multipatterned outsole in marbled black and red finish off the sneaker.
