Bad news today for fans of Nike Snowboarding boots and gear; the brand confirmed Thursday that they will be dropping their snowboarding and skiing division, effective after their current Holiday 2014 line. The decision comes after Nike’s 2014 fiscal year reports in June, which showed growth across the brand in every key area except action sports. Nike’s action sports division plans to now put all their focus on skateboarding.
“Nike SB will focus its innovation, design and marketing resources on its biggest brand driver and growth opportunity, skateboarding,” Nike spokeswoman Jenna Golden told XGames.com. “The current Holiday ’14 Nike Snowboarding collection will be the final at retail.” – via ESPN
