The Nike Dunk Free released last week to mixed reactions. The Nike Dunk is one of the most beloved models in Nike’s catalog. Therefore, any tampering with its original form would cause expected division. The Nike Dunk Free “Mid Navy” is composed of leather, synthetic material, and textile materials on the upper. A navy overlay makes room for reflective silver mesh panels for increased breathability. Despite the high top build, the Dunk Free is lightweight due to the Hyperfuse construction. Tropical teal paints the tongue, which also features a circular Nike logo. More contrast comes in the form of neon green laces. The technologically advanced upper rests comfortably on a white Nike Free Sole. The combination of Nike innovations produces a durable shoe that provides flexible cushioning and maximum comfort.

The Nike Dunk originated in 1985 on college basketball hardwoods, but has seen numerous iterations since. Nike introduced Nike Free technology 15 years later, in 2010. The Nike Dunk Free Mid Navy is available now at Nike.
