Johnny Manziel, who signed a footwear and apparel deal with Nike in March of 2014, has now been dropped by the brand.

As reported by ESPN’s Darren Rovell, in a confirmed statement from Nike spokesman Brian Strong, the brand is no longer endorsing the troubled quarterback.

Following severed ties with his marketing agent, Maverick Carter, and superstar agent, Drew Rosenhaus earlier this week, Manziel’s once promising career continues to take a downward spiral.

As far as Nike and Manziel, sources indicate that the deal was terminated sometime after the NFL season. Tough times indeed for Johnny Football.
