Today, 032c has unveiled the latest sneaker from Nike’s HTM line, the Nike Free Mercurial Superfly HTM. Thanks to a new, in-depth interview with Mark Parker conducted by Gary Warnett, we learn that Parker, Tinker Hatfield and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s emphasis on innovation continues, resulting in a new sneaker that explores how the body is meant to move by merging the Dynamic Fit and Flyknit of the Mercurial Superfly with the Nike Free 5.0’s flexible running sole. The piece also reveals that, to coincide with the start of 2014 World Cup, the Nike Free Mercurial Superfly HTM will debut on June 12 at NikeLAB spaces in New York, Paris, Milan, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Ultimately, the Nike Free Mercurial Superfly HTM “represents a new HTM proposition—a football-inspired shoe for everyday wear,” and a NIKELAB showcase and presentation of the Free Mercurial Superfly HTM opens June 11th at 032c Workshop. Click here to read the full interview and to learn more about both the start of NIKELAB and the Free Mercurial Superfly. The Nike Free Mercurial Superfly HTM is available now at Nike.
