In addition to the Nike Zoom Freak 5 GS “All-Star” colorway, Nike Basketball and Giannis will also be releasing a Nike Giannis Immortality 3 colorway — the takedown version within the Freak’s signature shoe line.
During the 2019 NBA All-Star Game, Giannis Antetokounmpo donned a pair of red and white Kobe 4s featuring handwritten messages that read “Thanasis, thanks for sharing.” The gesture served as a nostalgic nod to their pre-NBA days and a recognition of the significant progress both Antetokounmpo brothers had both made in their careers. Fast forward to the present, with Giannis now holding his own signature line, the impending eight-time All-Star brings this theme to the Giannis Immortality 3 in anticipation of the upcoming ASG matchup in February.
True to the original, the shoes showcase a red and white color scheme, paying homage to the Kobe 4s worn by Giannis five years ago and aligning with the Eastern Conference’s traditional jersey color. In a distinctive yet familiar move, the left and right shoes feature an inverse coloring, transitioning from red to white on almost every element except for the laces. While Giannis inscribed “Thanks for sharing” on the toe of the Kobe 4s, the sentiment is split into two parts and appears on the heel tabs of this latest pair.
