Eight years ago, the Nike Hyperdunk launched for the Beijing Olympics, offering at that time the most progressive basketball shoe to date. Fitted with Flywire cables and Lunar Foam cushioning, it was recognized as the hoop shoe of the future and performed as such.
This summer, the Nike Hyperdunk 2016 looks to make the same statement and carry the torch for the next generation of Nike Basketball. Being called the signature shoe of said category, this Leo Chang designed model looks to blur the lines between sock and sneaker for a more streamlined approach to uniform. A Flyknit upper achieves such goal aesthetically, extending to the calf and aiming to play towards the body’s natural motion. To cap it all off, Zoom Air scores the sole in full-length fashion.
The Nike Hyperdunk 2016 is available now at NikeLab locations globally.
