Nike Jackie Robinson Air Max Griffey Swingman Remix

To honor Jackie Robinson breaking down the color barrier on April 15 of 1947, most of the Major League wore the jersey number 42 to honor Robinson. Nike has now created Nike Air Griffey Max Swingman Remix in a special make-up to honor Jackie Robinson as well.

The colorup is that of Robinson’s team, the Brooklyn Dodgers. It features the number 42 on the heel, as well as the date, 4.15.47 on the insole. The outside features an embossed image of the famous photo of Jackie losing his helmet while sliding into home.

Thanks to Jackie for having the courage to do what he did, and to his wife Rachel for keeping his legacy alive, as well as to Nike for creating these kicks to pay
tribute to this legend.
