After an initial season in Seattle, Durant and company relocated to Oklahoma City and became the Oklahoma City Thunder. With new beginnings that included a vibrant young point guard named Russell Westbrook, Nike jumped at the opportunity to commence a Durant signature line. Releasing in the early stages of 2009, the Nike KD I would be a model Durant would seem to enjoy as he tallied averages of 25 points per game, with a little over 6 rebounds and 2 assists per game, too.
