The Nike KD VI “BHM” has been officially unveiled. For the fourth straight year, Kevin Durant’s signature sneaker line has received a “Black History Month” rendition of his latest model, honoring the occasion with a celebratory design. 2014’s theme pays tribute to Nike’s athletes and their unwavering dedication to achieving success at the highest levels, inspired by a legacy of Pan-African achievement. Each of this year’s “BHM” Swoosh models are designed around the theme “Sport Royalty,” highlighting Nike’s kings and queens of sport on and off the playing surface. The Nike KD VI element features a printed glossy purple and black base, with a popping gold Swoosh and KD name tag. Shimmering laces, a grey speckled midsole, and a “BHM” tongue jewel add even more high-class flare to this royal getup. The “BHM” KD VI will be available with the rest of the collection at select Swoosh retailers on February 1st, with one hundred percent of net proceeds (up to $1 million) going to the new NIKE Ever Higher Fund. Tell us what you think of this KD VI in the comment section, and keep Nice Kicks bookmarked for everything sneakers.
