Past and present combine to produce the new 2014 Nike Hyper Elite Dominance Uniforms, along with a new Nike KD VI “Michigan State” PE. Recognizing the tradition of college basketball, Nike has created seven special uniforms that fuse modern innovation with historical school heritage, each of which come with coinciding sneakers. The MSU rendition draws inspiration from the aesthetics on the jerseys worn by Magic Johnson’s 1979 National Championship team: Cursive “State” graphics above the numbers, and an oversize Spartan logo on the shorts. To match the bronze tone of the uniforms that take inspiration from ancient Spartan battle helmets, the boys from East Lansing will lace up a special Nike KD VI. Matte green covers the entire upper, which features metallic gold detailing on the Swoosh and KD logo. Hints of white also add contrast on the outsole of these clean Kevin Durant signatures that the Spartans will lace with their new unis when they go to battle against Georgetown today at Madison Square Garden.

Tell us what you think of Michigan State’s new uniforms and sneakers in the comment section at the bottom of the page, and watch for Ohio State, Duke, Kentucky, Syracuse, Oregon and North Carolina‘s Nike Hyper Elite Dominance kits and kicks to debut throughout February in College Kicks On Court.
