Nike Basketball will play a central role in the brand’s annual Black History Month celebration. Kevin Durant, of course, will see implementation of his tenth signature model – the Nike KDX.
Keeping with the theme of Pan-Africanism, black, green and red covers the upper which also sees Metallic Gold branding at the tongue and Swoosh. At the heel, the date May 6, 2014 is prominently seen. It signifies Oklahoma City Governor Mary Fallin declaring that day “Kevin Durant Day,” thanks to his efforts both on and off the court in his former home. Those very same efforts have continued in his move to the Bay Area respectively.
