The media, the internet and even the fans were not kind to Kevin Durant when he made the switch from Oklahoma City to that of Golden State. An unpopular move at the time and one that still inspires memes, jokes and ridicule, KD’s decision to do what was best for himself ultimately brewed a lot of hate sent his way.
It also inspired great play, an NBA Championship and an NBA Finals MVP trophy.
Rising above the hot air but still placing it right beneath his feet, the Nike KDX “Finals” speaks to the verbal and social media jabs thrown at the hardest player to guard in the whole NBA, putting said stingers right on the insoles of his championship sneaker.
