Mamba Day is fast approaching and Nike has a few tricks up its sleeve with the newly released Kobe 1 Protro. The shoe is set to release in a “Mamba Day” theme styled in black and gold.
The annual tradition set to take place every April 13 pays tribute to Kobe Bryant’s towering legacy. Here, the Kobe 1 Protro sees “4.13.18” written at the heel while “XX” marks the lace fixtures to honor Bean’s 20 years of service with the Lakers. To close, a graphic of Bryant walking out to the court dons the insole as a reference to his warrior spirit.
Look for the Nike Kobe 1 Protro “Mamba Day” on April 13. Retail locations have not yet been announced.
