Nike Basketball continues the Nike Kobe legacy with an all-new Protro for Spring 2025.
The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Year of the Mamba” is rumored to join the “Eggplant” Nike Kobe 5 Protro and the “Sail” Nike Kobe 6 Protro as the newest colorways within the Mamba archive.
Although no images of the pair have surfaced, the newest iteration is in honor of the Lunar calendar as 2025 marks the Year of the Snake. As an homage to Kobe’s Mamba nickname, the upcoming “Year of the Mamba” Kobe 5 will arrive in a predominantly red upper with a golden snake graphic. Gold details on the toe box- heel counter, and Kobe shield tongue logo are expected as well. Additionally, snakeskin details are speculated on the heel of the shoe.
The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Year of the Mamba” is rumored to release in Spring 2025 for $190 via SNKRS and select retailers.
