Kobe Bryant may no longer be physically a part of the NBA Playoffs, yet the future Hall of Famer is still making his presence felt even in retirement. Bryant is watching and reviewing film for Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas, a task he took on after Thomas sent him game film during their first round series against the Chicago Bulls.
To no surprise Bryant has been a tremendous aid, guiding Thomas in his timing, placement on the floor and ideal moments to strike. This, of course, will be largely magnified as one of the reasons – aside from personal sentiment regarding Thomas’ late sister – why he exploded for 53 points against the Washington Wizards in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup. Thomas footed his career defining playoff moment in the Nike Kobe A.D.
Bryant’s post retirement shoe returns to retailers next week on May 12 in a “Triple Black” colorway. Take a look at the official images below and let us know if you plan to grab a pair.
