Wanting to show youth that he can directly relate to their trials and tribulations, Cavs All-Star Kyrie Irving’s Nike Kyrie 3 “Badge of Honor” does just that — in his own unique way that is.
According to Nike Basketball, Irving once injured himself at a hotel pool the night before a high school game. He hit his head on the floor of the pool and had to get stitches. Despite the injury, Irving played and led his team to victory while wearing a head bandage.
The Nike Kyrie 3 “Badge of Honor” take inspiration from this story as the Gum Brown sole and linen color scheme represent his head bandage. The insole reads “No Diving” and has blue pool tiles. The rest of the shoe features a simple, textured black upper and has other signature details like Irving’s logo on the back of the tongue and on the bottom of the sole.
Only available in big kid sizes, Nike Kyrie 3 “Badge of Honor” Nike.com can be purchased from and other Nike retailers.
