Following up both the “Power is Female” and “Uncle Drew” Kyrie 4 colorways that release this month, the latter moments of June will play host to a release that also bears large cultural importance.
One part of Nike’s annual N7 collection, a new Kyrie 4 odes to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and their ongoing fight against the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline. An oil line with the potential to harshly and permanently inflict damage on the tribes natural water source, their fight has been taken on by many and, in this case, Nike as well.
Offered in a dark blue almost Obsidian hue, offsets occur at the white midsole and marbled navy outer, which ignites a contrast in texture not material. A Standing Rock Sioux badge marks the shoes heel in powerful representation of a movement ongoing. That same patch appears on the shoes insole.
It’s expected that the Nike Kyrie 4 N7 is set to release on June 21. Take a closer look at the shoe below and stay tuned for more.
