As one of the most versatile silhouettes in Nike’s history, the Dunk has appeared in a seemingly endless number of hybrid builds. It has served as a basketball, lifestyle and training shoe, among other varieties. The Lava Dunk however, is a hiking version of the classic model that draws inspiration from the classic Lava Dome. While the basic shape is close to the standard Dunk High you’re used to seeing, this Lava version owns D ring eyelets along the midfoot and a new sole more appropriate for traversing rough terrain. Look for this shoe this holiday season.
