The NBA and WNBA bubbles are restructuring the game as we know it. Aside from the late re-start (or tip-off for the W), the ramifications of the sport thanks to COVID-19 are also affecting the sneaker industry in more ways than one. As brands and athletes are adapting to the situation at hand, the fans are the true winners of it all as sneaker debuts are coming early.
A few days ago, Giannis had an unorthodox unveiling of his second signature shoe from the bubble and we are sure to see many other NBA stars have a unique approach to sharing first looks of their shoes in the coming months.
One of the most anticipated signature sneaker lines in the NBA is the Nike LeBron line that continues to age like The King — better with age. As we await official release information, the Lakers posted a photo of LeBron James alongside teammate Anthony Davis following practice today with what appears to be the Nike LeBron 18 on LeBron’s feet.
