After a tease and a promise to reveal their first Flyknit soccer kick on March 6th, @nikefootball delivers on their guarantee right on schedule with the unveiling of the Nike Magista. It was only a matter of time before Flyknit tech would land on performance sneakers for the pitch, and that day has come, with the Magista sporting a completely knitted upper. Working to bring the wearer’s foot closer to the ball for enhanced feel and ball control, strength and support was also paramount in the engineering of the sneaker. Going against the standard of low-top, soccer boots, Nike opted for a Dynamic Fit collar, raising the cleat to a mid-top cut, providing a heightened level of ankle support and a lock-down fit for multi-directional movement. Underlined by Nike’s state-of-the-art 360° rotational traction cleat system, the Magista is bottomed out by a highly responsive plate, providing strength, while remaining incredibly light. Check out Nike’s newest addition to the cleated kick family, the Magista, in the photos below, and mark your calendar for when it’s available via pre-order on April 29, and for purchase on May 22.
