For his commitment to diversity, inclusion and his long-standing relationship with Nike, the brand made a special edition “Be True” Air Force 1 Low for Sir Elton John.
Officially titled the Nike Air Force 1 “Jet”, the shoe’s upper takes on two distinct lifeforms; the first is that of a British knight’s armor. The second symbolizes a disco ball, pulling together the 1970’s feel that plays host to the birth of the tenured relationship between Elton and Nike. The look is finished with a rainbow array of shades marking Nike’s “Be True” campaign.
Elton’s relationship with Nike began in the mid-1970s when Geoff Hollister created various one-off shoes for the music icon.
