Averaging 35.2 points while shooting 55.6% from the field and 47.4% from three-point land, Kevin Durant led the Warriors to their second championship in three years and took home NBA Finals MVP honors in the process. And while Durant is now a Finals MVP and NBA champion, his decision to join the Warriors has been loudly criticized as his detractors can’t believe he would go to the can’t beat ’em, then join ’em route to get his first championship ring. Nike however, has the perfect answer for Durant’s critics.
Immediately after the Warriors beat the Cavs in Game 5, Nike released their new ad campaign for Durant, which shows his detractors becoming stone silent after he leads Golden State to the championship.
Haters will still hate but as Nike shows with this commercial, you can’t deny the fact that Durant is now a champion. Props, Kevin.
