To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Air Max technology, Nike isn’t only hosting the fourth installment of Air Max Day, but they’re also collaborating with heralded designers to commemorate the occasion.
Riccardo Tisci is one of those designers, and he’s reshaped the Air Max 97 making it a midtop. The elevated cut symbolizes Tisci’s Italian couture influences and streetstyle background. Runway-inspired tumbled synthetic leather coats the upper married to synthetic suede underlays and a concealed zipper on the tongue for shoe greater functionality. A translucent white midsole with Visible Air resides below.
