React foam cushioning has been a champion for Nike since it first debuted back in 2017 within the Hyperdunk series. Its greatest impact, however, was felt in the running sector with the Nike Epic React. Now, its sequel is here.

Nike today announced its Epic React 2 — a second edition React runner with slight deviations to the original. A repurposed Swoosh logo is the shoes largest shift while a gradient fade at the outsole is equally noteworthy. But the best part about the Epic React 2 is that it doesn’t change much from the original that we all know and adore.

The shoe will debut in two colorways — “8-Bit” and “Pixel” — that are inspired by the ’90s world of technology. The Nike Epic React 2 “8-Bit” drops on January 17 for Nike+ members only. Its “Pixel” counterpart launches on January 31 at Nike.com and select retailers.
