Where to Buy Nike SB Sandy ZoomX Bruin
In addition to the announcement of the Nike SB x Parra Federation Kits for the Tokyo Summer Games, Nike SB hrevealed a new SB silhouette that’ll be showcased this summer at the Olympics and pays homage to Sandy Bodecker called the Nike SB Sandy ZoomX Bruin.
Sandy Bodecker started off as a footwear tester for Nike, working his way up and making an impact on every project he touched. Bodecker was most notably known for shaping Nike SB to what it is today and legitimizing the Swoosh in a skateboarding culture that wasn’t the most receptive to big brands. Bodecker also was the man behind Breaking2, a moonshot project to break the 2-hour marathon barrier which ushered in the Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% and changed the running industry forever.
The Sandy ZoomX Bruin features a multicolor Flyknit upper, a first for Nike SB. The toecap, lace overlays, and heeltab are seen in teal suede for durability and an oversized Swoosh extends through the transparent midsole to the heel.
As far as tech in the sneaker, the Sandy ZoomX Bruin combines the NEXT% running tech and brings it to skateboarding. It features a drop-in midsole with ZoomX cushioning and a full-length carbon fiber plate for pop and stability. When combined we get an unseen FLYPLATE technology.
The Nike SB Sandy ZoomX Bruin was expected drop in limited quantities during the 2021 summer in Tokyo but never saw the light of day unless you were a Nike SB athlete. Rumored to less than 150 pairs, this shoe is embodies everything Sandy brought to the table and is exactly how you should pay homage to one of the greatest of all time.
