Whether viewing the Statue of Liberty from the shores of New Vork today or having viewed it from the deck of a turn-of-the-century boat, the emblematic symbol of America is always inspirational. As it turns out, it’s also inspirational to the team at Nike SB, who developed this upcoming Dunk High Premium to resemble Lady Liberty. A Seagrass upper is attractively mated with an off-white midsole and gum-like bottom, but it’s the details that make this March release special. The upper, when scratched, scuffed or skated, reveals a bronze under layer. This look is representative of the aging of the copper used to build the Statue of Liberty. Stay tuned for more info on this coming release and more pics of the “aging” process.
