With a sudden resurgence of Nike SB Dunks, the Swoosh takes to the original silhouette for a laser cut design. Inspired by Germany’s Plattenbau apartment buildings, this shoe elects to use the laser cut details that represented the building’s slitted structures. D85 and D17 are embroidered on the heel to represent the year the Dunk and Plattenbau were created. Featuring blue and gold lace tips with the phrases Traum, meaning ‘dream’ and Tristesse, meaning ‘melancholy’ to reflect the life of the suburbs within the city limits, each shoe is also numbered individually 1 through 240.

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Plattenbau” will release exclusively at Overkill in Berlin on December 14.
