Nike SB and pro-rider Eric Koston bring together the Nike Air Huarache with his first SB signature shoe, the Nike SB Eric Koston 1, to create the Nike SB Eric Koston Huarache. Earlier this year, the Koston 1 Mid received the Huarache treatment borrowing the mid-foot strap from the Nike Air Huarache Trainer, but this one is not only more skate friendly, but features upper details to tie back more to the Huarache with stitch details across the one-piece toe cap (see detailed pics below).
In true Huarache form, the shoe hugs your foot with the traditional tongue being swapped for a one of breathable mesh that wraps around the foot from side to side and extends from the top of the shoe at the ankle all the way down to the toe. The most visible Huarache element of the shoe comes on the back of the shoe with the rubber heel bar that is branded with Nike SB in big branding calling out the distinction of this shoe from other Nike Sportswear joints.
The debut color of the Nike SB Eric Koston Huarache comes in near-navy colored Blue Force upper with accents of Blue Lagoon on the tongue tag finished off with a white and grey outsole. More colors are in the pipeline for this shoe for early 2015, but this pair came in just a little ahead of it’s January launch and is available now at Premier for $110.
