A year ago, the world lost Sandy Bodecker.

Best known for his work with Nike SB, the certified legend lent an ear and left an impression on every person and category he crossed paths with while at the Swoosh.

Starting his Nike journey as a running wear tester, he became the brand’s go-to guy when venturing to new territory. Making Nike Soccer boom overseas in the early ’90s, his next task was to make Nike Skateboarding a thing.

That he did.

An outsider in the skate world, his ability to listen and learn from the real rebels of the culture translated to Nike’s new knowledge of the sport and all the innovation and creativity it brought to the game.

This video is a great, great watch. Check it out above and thank you, Sandy.
