If you were lurking around Twitter last night waiting for a Meek Mill diss record on Flex that never quite materialized, you may have caught wind of an interesting tweet from Nike Store. Around 10pm EST, the Nike Store Twitter account made a statement regarding a shut down of NDC today at 6pm PDT.
The shut down is said to improve upon many of the site’s functions. Or better stated – although not actually vocalized – to put a plan in place to combat bots and their imposing influence on sneakers releases. After the news broke, fellow sneakerheads tweeted Nike inquiring about the strategic move. In one response, they indicated the site would be back up starting tomorrow, July 29. A time was not disclosed.
Would do you think Nike Store is doing behind the scenes to improve NDC? Share your thoughts below as we’ll continue to update this story.
We’re making http://t.co/KGtR93W3hR better and will be closing down shop July 28 at 6pm PDT. Questions? Just ask.

@keplerpatrick This is not Bot related. We’re pausing due to previously scheduled http://t.co/KGtR93W3hR upgrades.
