Nike’s Terminator High Honor’s Nashville’s “Slim & Husky’s Pizza”

Late last year, Nike’s Terminator High from 1985 triumphantly returned. Now the high-top silhouette pays homage to Nashville’s Slim & Husky’s Pizza chain.

This upcoming silhouette is part of Nike’s commitment to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and specifically pays tribute to HBCUs and their alumni. To continue with the initiative, Nike has partnered with Slim & Husky’s, a local pizza chain in Nashville founded by Tennessee State University (TSU) graduates.

Phantom leather acts as the canvas for the upcoming Nike Terminator High “Slim & Husky’s Pizza”, which is further elevated with zebra pony hair overlays on the toe counter, heel, and ankle, as well as TPU’s racer blue and university hits on the profile Swooshes, tongues, and rubber outsole. Further paying homage to the university are the “1912” embroidered on the forefoot, Slim & Husky’s logos on the insoles and tongues, and the phrase “GET GEEK’D” gracing the backside of the tongue. The court sneaker is rounded off with white laces and a matching white midsole.
