Only 6 players in baseball history can say they’ve hit 600 or more career home runs. In 2008, Ken Griffey, Jr. became the most recent to join that short list. The man with the prettiest swing in baseball retired earlier this year, but Nike is still paying tribute to his achievement with this Trainer 1.2 Mid, which is available now at Nike Store.
This pair makes use of a Medium Grey upper and shows details of teal and dark blue. The white midsole that’s been employed breaks up the upper well. The colorway is obviously borrowed from the Seattle Mariners’ team colors, despite the fact that Griffey hit number 600 as a Cincinnati Red. He of course bookended his career with stays in Seattle.
