The 2013 college football season is bound to be full of surprises. One of those surprises came when Nike unveiled the new Fresno State Uniform System. The Bulldogs will sport all-black uniforms for the first time in the school’s history. Black jerseys are decorated with red numbers outlined in grey trim, and the words “Fresno State” written in grey across the chest. Contrasting red numbers are present on each shoulder. Grey breathable mesh panels streak down the sides to keep players cool. The grey strip continues down the sides of the black pants for a flush look. The jewel of the new uniforms is the matte black helmet. The menacing helmets feature a red strip that leans a bit to one side, to create an asymmetrical look. The left side of the helmet is decorated with Fresno State’s Bulldog logo, and the other displays the players’ uniform number. Finally, everything is finished off with Nike football Alpha Pro cleats that compliment the color palette.
The Bulldogs will debut the black uniforms in their game against The University of Nevada on November 2. Also, be on the lookout for the Bulldogs sporting all-white uniforms, and donning retro helmets throughout the season. Watch the video clip below to catch glimpse of all three uniforms.
