Kobe Bryant’s start with the Swoosh didn’t see low tops or even signature models, for that matter. The Nike Zoom Huarache 2k4 was the first silo Jelly Bean Jr. laced for dough after his days with adidas and season-long shoe deal sabbatical. While some say the 2k4 was very close to being an official Kobe, an old sample pair points to such a story, with Kobe’s then number eight appearing on the heel, midsole and insole.
